Not too many surprises here… good to see Canada fares pretty well overall in everything BUT environment. Still, some work to do decreasing the cars on the roads, increasing the numbers on transit and educating people on looking after their environment…

Yes, I was surprised to read yesterday that for the first time in three years, the environment doesn’t rank in the top five list of priorities for Canadians (You can find the article here), so it’s not for want of effort and focus. It’s only an unstable global economy that has made your average Canadian concentrate on other areas. You are right, the government could do a lot more to get things moving but chooses not to tackle the difficult issues (Cars vs. Cyclists) with any concentrated effort.
