Following the messages of praise and encouragement for Expatlogue on the Expat Blog Award site, I just had to thank you all and tell you how much reading them has meant to me. There are some beautiful words there that say things I never stop to think about, and reading them takes my breath away. I plan to take a copy of them all to read on the days when doubt and despair are digging their claws in. Maybe I’ll stick it on the bathroom mirror…
Expatlogue aims to bring dialogue, understanding and awareness to areas that are often misinterpreted or overlooked; it gives me great pleasure when you join me in making this happen and I’ve learnt so much in the process.
I’m amazed and thrilled that something I began as a personal project has struck a chord with so many of you. Often, the subjects I write about evoke strong reactions and your readership reminds me that I’m not alone, even though our opinions may diverge. Learning that I have a chance at winning GOLD has really opened my eyes to the support you give me and I’m profoundly grateful.
