What will it take to fix this situation? 2 Comments Judy on November 11, 2011 at 8:41 pm More subways, LRTs, trains and buses. I moved here 32 years ago and apart from the Sheppard subway line nothing has been added since. Too expensive you say? There was an article in The Star yesterday in which someone claimed it cost $500,000 to run a car over a 40 year career. I think that’s an accurate number. Are Canadians that deep in denial, or are they manipulated by a series of greedy, self-serving bureaucrats….? I totally agree, the funds are going to the wrong places, but I can’t, for the life of me, figure out where – it’s not like the highways are particularly luxurious!
